5 major announcements in 1!
Throughout the summer months emuse has been developing both their Modelstream® Suite with the introduction of Modelstream® Broadcast, and their international relationships with a view to securing high profile and quality opportunities worldwide. Many of these relationships are now bearing fruit.
Following the signing of the MSA agreement with ITV and becoming part of their exclusive roster, ITV interactive commissions emuse to produce 'The Great British Spelling Test'
ITV are producing another run of the highly acclaimed 'Great British' series. The shows will all feature interactivity built using the latest software from Modelstream®. Although, ITV have successfully used Modelstream® in the past, this marks their first deployment of Modelstream® Broadcast. It will enable the broadcaster to produce and air highly complex synchronised ETV applications.
The synchronisation in the show will allow red button viewers to play along with the live contestants on the show. The series will launch with 'The Great British Spelling Test'.
In the advertising arena Zip Television has had a significant impact over the past couple of months as they bring major interactive ads to the small screen. Working with a consortium of the top 12 advertisers in Britain representing 40% of the TV advertising market, Zip have already launched some of the most comprehensive interactive campaigns ever seen on TV including Honda, Veet and Daimler Chrysler.
emuse's Modelstream® is the only tool employed by Zip to develop, build and broadcast the required interactivity. It is expected that at least 14 of these substantial campaigns will be on air before the end of the year.
"One of the principle aims of the channel is to give advertisers the ability to create interactive campaigns that are compelling and engaging." says Andrew Howells, Co Managing Director of Zip Television "Adopting Modelstream® gives us the ability and flexibility to do this and allows creatives to step outside the traditional constraints of Interactive TV."
Tailor-Made Films have commissioned emuse and their Modelstream® software suite to roll out the interactive versions of their innovative hit series "Come And Have A Go..."
The show has been aired on the BBC and emuse will be working closely with Tailor-Made on new commissions as the show is rolled out on a worldwide basis. Modelstream's® unique multi-platform support enables Tailor Made to produce their interactive TV show across Europe, Asia and North America.
"This is a great step forward for the interactive TV production community" says Patrick Rainsford, CEO emuse technologies "Using Modelstream® means Tailor-Made have the ability to sell their content internationally on both a Linear and Interactive basis" he continued "Modelstream® means that they can extract more value from their format when negotiating commissions" Miriam Segal the Managing Director of Tailor-Made Films said "We looked at a number of ways of extending our reach interactively and Modelstream® was the natural choice for us. It enables us to communicate our ideas to potential partners whilst also helping to rapidly localise the interactive element of our format."
Among the latest list of customers for the Modelstream® product range are Teletext and BBC Broadcast who have both actively employed the Modelstream® products as part of their interactive strategy.
UK Broadcaster, Teletext has adopted Modelstream® software to aid in the planning and development of their digital text services. Paul Freeman, Project Manager said "There are obvious cost-effective benefits of using Modelstream® Plan as it will allow us to prototype new digital satellite services and products, and to review and validate changes that are identified for existing services. In the future it will be possible to use the prototyped applications built in Modelstream® as the foundation of discussions with SSSL for the introduction of new services onto Sky, and also as a sales driver as we will be able to demo our services to existing and potential advertisers."
"We are proud to be working with many of the worlds leaders in the interactive arena" says Patrick Rainsford ceo emuse technologies. "The interactive industry has showed steady growth and as a result we are actively working with many key players and in final negotiations with several more. emuse are delighted to be so closely aligned with such exciting developments and are confident that Modelstream® will play an important role as interactivity becomes an everyday offering both in the UK and worldwide."
